Global Air Taxi News is delighted to announce the first episode of our podcast series has been released!
Each one will feature brilliant guests from companies across the urban air mobility industry, who will tell us more about their exciting developments and future plans.
This week, we were joined by Lilium’s Head of Communications Oliver Walker-Jones, who explained the company’s incredible journey since being founded in 2015 by the team of Daniel Wiegand, Sebastian Born, Patrick Nathen and Matthias Meiner.
All shared a common vision of revolutionising the way we travel, and launched a two-seater air taxi prototype in 2017. A five-seater aircraft called the Lilium Jet completed its first test flight last year.
This year, Lilium secured an additional $240 million in funding, taking the current total to more than $340 million. The company is now regarded as one of the key players in the air taxi market, and pushing on with plans to make the Lilium Jet fully operational by 2025.
