Flight Crowd sets up platform to help support growing Urban Air Mobility ecosystem
Flight Crowd has launched a global platform for Urban Air Mobility (UAM) experts and enthusiasts, which is focused on shaping the public perception of eVTOL aircraft.
It also aims to help educate and grow wider public interest on the future of vertical flight, by offering members a variety of content such as podcasts, thought pieces, webinars and white papers.
Mariya Tarabanovska, who is a UAM advisor and part of Flight Crowd, said: ”We want to make it easier for those outside of the UAM ecosystem to learn about the vehicles, infrastructure, regulations and other aspects that make up the industry. If you don’t have a technical background, it is very difficult to grasp the sheer complexity of what UAM players are trying to achieve.
“Flight Crowd aims to bring UAM closer by introducing the news and latest developments in bite-size portions and simple words. We want to be the bridge that unites main industry participants and the future UAM customers — the global public.”
In a press release announcing the launch, Flight Crowd says the platform will ‘address the need to raise public awareness of the possibilities and benefits UAM technology is going to have upon mass implementation.’
The Flight Crowd community will also work closely with the industry itself to share the most up-to-date news and developments, by supporting their vision through a range of outreach activities.
Tarabanovska added: “The industry has developed its own language — we talk about operations at scale, autonomy, noise, safety and this scares people who never heard about electrical take-off and landing vehicles and don’t understand how they work.
“We are very excited for the road ahead and would be delighted to share this journey with as many participants as possible.”
