eVTOL Insights’ next virtual networking event will take place on August 27th, and we’re delighted to confirm our two speakers will be CIVATAGlobal and Dawn Zoldi of P3 Tech Consulting.
Held on the final Friday of each month, they have been a regular feature this year for industry professionals to meet up, networking and talk about some of the issues facing the eVTOL aircraft and urban air mobility markets.
It will take place from 4pm to 5.30pm BST and includes two 15-minute presentations focusing on particular topics, which have included public perception, eVTOL supply chain, electric aviation and connected insurance.
For this latest event in August, CIVATAGlobal will be talking about the state of preparedness (or not) of local authorities globally in preparing for urban air mobility operations. This includes their relationship with national aviation safety regulators in determining areas of responsibility.
Known as the Civic Air Transport Association, CIVATAGlobal is the global trade association of the advanced air mobility sector, bringing together cities and industries into one single global community.
It is also a forum to share experiences, plans, access information resources and work together on enabling the successful, profitable and environmentally responsible urban air mobility operations. This is from small unmanned air systems missions to urban air taxi networks and inter-city services.
While Zoldi (Colonel, USAF, Retired) is CEO and Founder of P3 Tech Consulting. She is an internationally recognised expert on unmanned aircraft system law and policy, recipient of the Woman to Watch in UAS (Leadership) Award 2019, and recently named one of the Top 62 Women in Aviation & Aerospace on LinkedIn 2021.
She has also recently announced a new podcast, called ‘Dawn of Drones’, which takes place every Wednesday from 11am ET. Each show will include a 45 minute live and interactive discussion on emerging tech and associated policy issues with all-star guests. The show will be produced by Mike Pehel, CEO of MJN Associates LLC.
Speaking about the episode’s format, Zoldi explained: “We will use this podcast so that our audience can directly connect with the game-changing people and platforms in the advanced air mobility, drone and autonomous industries.
“Our line-up includes industry experts who will boost your understanding of the latest developments impacting the industry and provide you with information you and your business needs to be informed and to succeed.”
Each month will be dedicated to a specific theme. August’s episode, which featured Luke Fox, CEO of White Fox Defence, focused on ‘High Impact Use Cases’.
The remaining 2021 themes include Movers and Shakers (September), Defense (October), R&D (November) and The Best of 2021 (December).
During our networking event, we’ll be discussing how Zoldi has been using her various platforms to elevate the UAS/AAM industry, as well as the latest use cases, issues and developments.
