Astro Aerospace President and CEO of LuftCar confirmed as next speakers at eVTOL Insights’ virtual networking event

With just over a week to go until our next virtual networking event, we’re super excited to reveal our two speakers as Brandon Robinson, CEO and co-founder of Horizon Aircraft, and Santh Sathya, CEO and Founder of Luftcar.

The 90-minute session will be held on Friday, September 24th from 4pm to 5.30pm BST and once again brings together industry professionals from across the eVTOL aircraft and urban air mobility markets. Attendees are easily able to network face-to-face, while travel restrictions are still in place due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Robinson is the CEO and co-founder of Horizon Aircraft and has been recently appointed President of Astro Aerospace. Currently, he is focused on leading Astro Aerospace’s multi product offering in the Advanced Air Mobility sector.

Prior to the successful launch of Horizon Aircraft, Robinson flew CF-18s in the Royal Canadian Air Force for nearly 20 years and had the distinction of having graduated from the Canadian version of Top Gun.

Upon retirement from the Air Force, Brandon decided to pursue his passion for aerospace — with Horizon Aircraft born out of a family-owned high tech aerospace company that was designing a revolutionary new eVTOL aircraft, a design for which Brandon successfully co-authored one of the core patents.

While Sathya founded LuftCar — an autonomous air and road mobility eVTOL mobility company in March 2021.  He cares deeply for environment sustainability and is a relentless innovator of technologies that solve complex problems, improve lives, build social equity and fuel progress.

Before launching LuftCar, Santh served as the Director of Strategy for L3Harris, managing $ 2B P&L for the Sector CEO. Santh was head of systems engineering at Boeing — Insitu drones, and led Model Based Systems Engineering and digital twin development.

Santh’s greatest accomplishment was in developing and building 300 hydrogen fuel cell cars for Ford Motor Company. Santh has core expertise in hydrogen fuel cells, propulsion, AI architectures and lean start up.

Individuals who have attended previous events work for Archer, Beta Technologies, Vertical Aerospace, Wisk, Astro Aerospace, Community Air Mobility Initiative (CAMI), Lilium, Bellwether Industries, Electro.aero, CAE, Wingcopter and Daedalean.

Registration for the event on the 24th is free and you can reserve your space by clicking here. We’d love as many people to join our conversations as possible, so please share the link with your colleagues.

Once you have signed up, you will receive a calendar invite. For those not based in the UK, this month’s Final Friday event will start at 8am PT, 11am EDT and 5pm CET.

We’d also love to hear from companies which would like to present at future events. If you’d like more information, please email our editor Jason Pritchard at editorial@evtolinsights.com
