Avtrain is Europe’s lead­ing drone train­ing and cer­ti­fi­ca­tion body and its mis­sion is to encour­age pro­lif­ic drone oper­a­tions and keep the skies safe through cer­ti­fi­ca­tion and the high­est stan­dards of train­ing

The com­pa­ny cer­ti­fies Drone pilots and Oper­a­tors for all fixed wing, hybrid, sin­gle and mul­ti rotor drones in all weight cat­e­gories for the grant of Euro­pean Autho­ri­sa­tions under EASA reg­u­la­tions. We cur­rent­ly hold an approval as Recog­nised Enti­ty issued by the Irish Avi­a­tion Author­i­ty for the grant of Open A2 and all Spe­cif­ic Cat­e­go­ry Autho­ri­sa­tions, Dec­la­ra­tions & Light UAS oper­a­tor Cer­tifi­cate (LUC).

Julie talks to us about all the work Avtrain has been doing in Ire­land to encour­age pro­lif­ic drone oper­a­tions and keep the skies safe through cer­ti­fi­ca­tion and the high­est stan­dards of train­ing.

She expands on the dif­fer­ent projects her and the team have been doing this year and also gives her thoughts on the grow­ing indus­try so far. Julie also talks to us about an excit­ing part­ner­ship with one of the world’s biggest logis­tics providers as part a proof-of-con­cept.
