We were joined by Ver­ti­cal Aero­space’s Head of Cer­ti­fi­ca­tion, Paul Harp­er. He talks through the com­plex cer­ti­fi­ca­tion process on the eVTOL air­craft roadmap and sheds some light into Ver­ti­cal’s progress so far with its VA-X4, the mod­el it plans to launch com­mer­cial air taxi ser­vices as ear­ly as 2024.

He also offers his insights into the chal­lenges for com­pa­nies not as far down the cer­ti­fi­ca­tion line and talks about the impor­tance of EASA’s spe­cial con­di­tion VTOL means of com­pli­ance to cer­ti­fy eVTOL air­craft.
