Talyn Air co-founder and CEO Jamie Gull introduces its unique eVTOL aircraft inspired by a 2‑stage rocket design

Our next pod­cast episode is live and we were delight­ed to wel­come Jamie Gull, co-founder and CEO of Talyn Air.

Jamie worked at Scaled Com­pos­ites design­ing pro­to­type air­craft, and then was an engi­neer at SpaceX for over 5 years on the Fal­con 9 rock­et and Drag­on. He grad­u­at­ed from Stan­ford Uni­ver­si­ty with a B.S. and M.S. in Aero­space Engi­neer­ing and is a pri­vate pilot.

Dur­ing our con­ver­sa­tion, he told us about the back­ground behind set­ting up Talyn Air with fel­low co-founder Evan Mucasey, what lessons he brought from SpaceX into this new com­pa­ny and Talyn’s air­craft, which is described as ‘a unique eVTOL air­craft inspired by the 2‑stage rock­et design, with plans to fly car­go and pas­sen­gers door-to-door between cities in half the time as tra­di­tion­al trans­porta­tion’.
