Blueflite Secures Sales Option of 40 Medical Delivery Drones From Spright

Blueflite announced this week a sales option from Spright, a leading U.S drone services provider, of 40 of its medical delivery drones, reports a press release. An initial four craft will be delivered over the coming months.

Spright aims to integrate Blueflite’s “cloud-based drone operations and productivity tool” into their fleet and operate the company’s craft across the globe “to provide timely access to critical medical resources, extending care to those in need.”

Joe Resnik, President of Spright, commented, “We chose Blueflite because of their advanced drone tech and digital integration. Our requirements to provide drone-enabled medical logistics services greatly benefits from a one-stop solution, like the Blueflite platform, to enable end-to-end automation, data services, and full integration with existing systems.”

The release states, “Designed specifically for logistics’ missions, Blueflite’s patented drone platform offers many advantages for Spright’s mission profile. The unique hardware design, features vectored thrust allowing for complex flight mission profiles and operating in challenging environments. Additionally, the platform features an enclosed payload bay with multiple access points to protect sensitive cargo like medicine, specimens, and life-saving medical supplies, and to enable end-to-end automation across the delivery cycle.”

James McClearen, Blueflite co-Founder and CTO, remarked, “Our drone was designed specifically for logistics missions. Through years of research and development efforts, every detail of the Blueflite platform has been designed to enable drone operators to maximise efficiency, minimise downtime, and operate in complex and challenging environments by providing them with the most advanced technology.” Blueflite is to deliver the first drones over the coming months and will then begin the integration of its cloud-based digital platform into Spright’s fleet.

Spright is based in Gilbert, Arizona, and is a division of Air Methods. Applying cutting-edge technology as well as an innovative service model, the company offers streamlined and sustainable drone-based solutions to overcome the everyday challenges of ground transport operations.

Blueflite was founded in 2018. The company designs and manufactures advanced drone systems and software for an integrated approach to cargo delivery. Its pioneering and all-electrical drone design has vertical take-off and landing capabilities as well as advanced maneuverability. Whether packages are large or small, the company’s drone-based platform is built to scale in both size and quantity. Operating through proprietary logistics systems Blueflite’s digital network is designed to work with existing solutions.
