EHang Already Sold Over 100 EH216 AAVs This Year

On the back of a Guangdong “Provincial Development Conference” held on January 28th in Guangzhou, to create a blueprint for the advancement of its economy, Guangdong TV talked to various senior management representing the enterprises involved, reports eastwestconn.com.

EHang was one of the companies featured in this TV special, where He Tianxing, Vice President of EHang was interviewed. During the interview he commented on the EH216, “Our current orders and pre-orders are more than 100 units this year. It is already not a small magnitude.”

This is especially good news for EHang shareholders. Please watch the full 5 minute interview with an accompanying EHang video below.

Meanwhile, on February 2nd, the Jiujiang Municipal Government and EHang signed a strategic partnership agreement in Gongqingcheng, Jiangxi province. Bao Chenggeng, Deputy Mayor of the municipal government, and Fang Xin, EHang’s Chief Operating Officer, jointly witnessed the signing.

Chenggeng commented, “Jiujiang is currently concentrating on promoting high-quality development, where our two parties have great potential for expanding this co-operation.”

The Deputy Mayor aims to use the partnership as “an opportunity to promote the implementation of commercial operation scenarios for the application of intelligent aircraft and autonomous logistics.” EHang plans to use Jiujiang as a key strategic development area, by offering an extensive range of solutions and assist in modernising the city.

Shu Ruipeng, Deputy Secretary-General of the municipal government, and Qiu Xi, General Manager of EHang Jiangxi Branch, signed the agreement on behalf of the two parties.

According to this agreement, the two parties will jointly promote in-depth operational co-operation of EHang’s craft, “In the fields of smart city management command and dispatch centre; urban tourism; fire emergency; medical rescue; ecological environmental protection; and modern logistics, as well as build an urban ecosystem and public service system for manned autonomous flight.”

Finally, an EH216 AAV made a guest appearance at one of Guangzhou’s four “Happy Farms” in Huangpu District two weeks ago flying overhead and thrilling the crowd.

While the actual term “Happy Farm” is the name given to a popular Chinese social networking game, the Chinese to English translation refers to the similar open farms found all over the UK aimed at children and families to come along and see farm animals close up, and to even stroke and feed them. For example, in the London area alone there are 57 such outlets.
