Skyports announced at the recent Busan Drone Event, a collaboration with South Korean drone company, Marine Drone Tech (MDT), reports a press release. Named Skyports Drone Services Korea, this partnership is to deliver bespoke drone solutions. Local branches have been set up in the cities of Busan and Yeosu to better serve its on-ground infrastructure and various applications.

Alex Brown, Director of Skyports Drone Services, commented, “Korea is a market that is well-known for its forward-thinking and innovative technology ecosystem. Our partnership brings together two market leaders and will see us rapidly scale up drone operations across Korea.” Adding, “Expanding on our work in Singapore, our focus will be ship-to-shore operations in the maritime sector.”

Hwang Eui-Cheol, Executive office of MDT, said, “Our complementary expertise makes Skyports Drone Services Korea a formidable force, and we are excited to work together to bring cutting-edge drone solutions to our home market.”

The partnership’s immediate agenda is to set-up maritime ship-to-shore drone delivery operations in Yeosu and Busan.
