PODCAST: UK Civil Aviation Authority shares vision of its Airspace Modernisation Strategy

Our next pod­cast episode is live! This time, we were delight­ed to be joined by Simon Lip­pett and Chris Wal­dron, who are part of the UK Civ­il Avi­a­tion Author­i­ty’s Air­space Mod­erni­sa­tion Team.

The Air­space Mod­erni­sa­tion Strat­e­gy was launched ear­li­er this year and is a lengthy doc­u­ment out­lin­ing a vision up to the year 2040. Chris and Simon pro­vid­ed some con­text as to why the doc­u­ment was cre­at­ed and shared key mes­sages to ensure every stake­hold­er is on the same jour­ney togeth­er.

The pair talked about the cur­rent land­scape of the UK’s air­space, what chal­lenges are the most press­ing from a CAA per­spec­tive and look to the future and why this strat­e­gy is going to be impor­tant in the years ahead, when the air­space gets more crowd­ed with the pres­ence of elec­tric air­craft.
