PODCAST: Nicolas Brieger of the Drone & Vertical Mobility Academy

Our next pod­cast is live! This week we were joined by Nico­las Brieger, who is Head of the Drone & Ver­ti­cal Mobil­i­ty Acad­e­my — a FIA Fund project.

Nico­las has long been involved in the world of advanced aer­i­al mobil­i­ty. He start­ed out as co-founder of Ger­man­drones, a Ger­man eVTOL drone start-up focused on secu­ri­ty and sur­vey­ing.

After lead­ing the Drone & Urban Air Mobil­i­ty busi­ness at glob­al con­sult­ing firm umlaut, now acquired by Accen­ture, he cur­rent­ly heads the FIA Drone & Ver­ti­cal Mobil­i­ty Acad­e­my, an organ­i­sa­tion that sup­ports more than 250 FIA Mem­ber Clubs with 90 mil­lion mem­bers world­wide.

Hav­ing also found­ed sev­er­al oth­er com­pa­nies in sec­tors out­side of advanced air mobil­i­ty, he com­bines a diver­si­fied tech­ni­cal back­ground with many years of inter­na­tion­al busi­ness expe­ri­ence.

Dur­ing this episode, we talk about the role of the Drone and Ver­ti­cal Mobil­i­ty Acad­e­my, its back­ground and also cov­er some of the projects it is work­ing on. We talk about med­ical logis­tics, drone train­ing and edu­ca­tion and the impor­tance of social accep­tance.
