Ace VTOL and Neurobotx launch eVTOL on Metapilot
Ace VTOL has joined forces with Neurobotx, the Boeing-funded launchpad for emerging airtaxis, to unveil the Trinity eVTOL, designed to address the growing demand for efficient and sustainable urban transportation solutions, which combines the expertise of Ace VTOL in aircraft manufacturing with the advanced software capabilities of Metapilot.
Called a ‘Passenger Drone’ according to founder and CEO Brett Northey, Ace VTOL’s advantage is its lifting body design and forward entry that creates a considerably larger cabin space.
On top of this, the company claims to be the first wheelchair-friendly VTOL on the market. This collaboration has resulted in the development of a truly remarkable aircraft that offers enhanced safety, versatility, and reliability.
The most exciting aspect of this partnership is the integration of Metapilot’s cutting-edge software technology into the Trinity eVTOL, which comes with a low earth orbit satellite-hosted blockchain and AI flight management system with a virtual reality (VR) pilot interface.
Metapilot’s proprietary VR game with over 200 business partners worldwide and the world top VR game resolution and regulator-approved data, combined with advanced artificial intelligence algorithms, elevate the Trinity eVTOL’s capabilities.
The software enhances pilot assistance, optimises flight paths, and ensures an unparalleled level of safety and reliability. Furthermore, users will have access to an array of innovative features such as building their own version of Trinity, testing it, commenting on it, racing it against other models and even getting access to the real aircraft.
Last month, rotor-less AAM vehicle manufacturer JetX teamed up with Boeing-backed gaming platform Metapilot to bring the Vector air taxi to the virtual world.
