Italy: eVertiSKY Unveils Blueprint for Levi-Montalcini Foundation Vertiport
U.S‑based, eVertiSKY, led by Sandra Formenton CEO, recently unveiled its blueprint for the Turin Levi-Montalcini Foundation vertiport, reports a press release.
Active in the UAM sector since 2017, the company’s vertiport designs primarily carried out by Giancarlo Zema Design Group are inspired by nature. This design company first came to prominence in 2021 after releasing a graphic design for the breathtaking EHang’s tree-like Baobab Vertiport.
This has a 30 metre high tower, a steel and laminated wood structure with 360° windows, along with an interior including a large waiting room, café, 200 sq metre panoramic restaurant and connecting lift. On the roof terrace there are green areas with seats and three landing areas for eVTOLs that are recharged wirelessly from the landing pad floor, the latter consisting of the latest generation non-slip photovoltaic panels, able to generate over 300 kW with integrated LED lights for night lighting and signage.

The release explains, “The initiative concentrates on erecting an elevated vertiport at the Foundation’s Exhibition and Research Centre. As part of its consultative strategy, eVertiSKY is poised to provide its expertise in deploying ground and airspace architecture, hence contributing to sustainable infrastructure planning and UAM activation.”
It continues, “The design of the Levi-Montalcini Foundation Vertiport prominently features a telescopic elevator and landing platform catered for eVTOL passenger commute and cargo. eVertiSKY blends biomimicry, solar lighting, and paving materials into the vertiport’s design and construction.”

Sandra Formenton commented, “Our vision centres on integrating technologies, such as green materials and charging efficiencies, into our commitment towards sustainable urban air transportation. The vertiport energy infrastructure hinges significantly on our investments in research and development.” The construction is set to begin in 2024 and reach completion the following year.
She continued, “As we expand our footprint into Europe, eVertiSKY will be partnering with the Spanish company, Bluenest, to ensure enhanced vertiport operations at the Levi-Montalcini Foundation.”
Giuseppe Carusi, Chairman of eVertiSKY, added, “The company is inaugurating new initiatives that involve forming alliances with a group of significant eVTOL manufacturers and operators. The forthcoming projects, soon to be announced, will create transatlantic collaborations between the U.S and Europe.”
