Ace VTOL to work with Volatus Infrastructure and expand future opportunities for Advanced Air Mobility in Australia
Volatus Infrastructure has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Australian-based Ace VTOL, with both companies to help expand opportunities in the rapidly growing eVTOL market. As part of the agreement, Volatus is Ace VTOL’s preferred infrastructure provider.
“Borne out of mutual respect and a shared commitment to accessibility, this partnership brings us even greater credibility among customers in Australia. We commend the visionary leadership of ACE founder and CEO Brett Northey and the whole team at Ace,” said Dan Sloat, Volatus Infrastructure CEO.
“Perth is one of the most isolated cities in the world — a full 1,300 miles from the next city of note, so strategically located vertiports will be a key enabler to growth.”
Northey added: “Ace is incredibly proud to be working hand in hand with the team at Volatus Infrastructure, undoubtedly one of the premier vertiport developers in the global eVTOL market.
“Volatus Infrastructure offers a unique understanding of the Australian climate and culture with its timeless style and practical vertiport design, offering a comfortable solution for all Australians in this new transport demographic.”
Ace VTOL is focussed on delivering safe and sustainable eVTOL aircraft to the global market with multirole airframes for commercial, logistics and municipal applications. The company is committed to alleviating the issues associated with the existing transport ecosystem, increasing property and business valuation through connectivity and safely placing Australia at the leading edge of this exciting new
transport demographic.
Founded in 2021 Volatus Infrastructure offers three main eVTOL infrastructure designs, a vehicle agnostic charging station, plus an app and maintenance programs.
At EAA’s 70th AirVenture last month, Volatus announced the three members of its future leadership team. Dan Sloat will take on the role of CEO working side by side with co-founder Grant Fisk.
Bob Johnson will be chief commercial officer (CCO), leading Volatus’ global business development teams and fostering new relationships. Nicolas Zart will take control as chief strategy officer (CSO), working with Sloat to champion the eVTOL industry.
