AUVSI-HR Advanced Air Mobility Exposition 2023

Please join us in Hamp­ton Roads as we con­vene indus­try, state and fed­er­al offi­cials in the emerg­ing Advanced Air Mobil­i­ty (AAM) domain to explore the excit­ing devel­op­ments in this field and the applic­a­bil­i­ty to Vir­ginia.

New air vehi­cles and emer­gent capa­bil­i­ties in avi­a­tion, under the AAM umbrel­la, are enabled by elec­tric propul­sion, lithi­um bat­ter­ies, hydro­gen fuel cells, autonomous sys­tems, and sup­port­ing phys­i­cal and dig­i­tal infra­struc­ture, enabling a new par­a­digm in mobil­i­ty for peo­ple and car­go.

Com­pa­nies like Joby, Archer, Beta Tech­nolo­gies, Super­nal, Elroy Air, AIR EV, and Elec­tra Aero are mak­ing rapid progress towards elec­tric ver­ti­cal take­off and land­ing air­craft (eVTOL), hybrid-elec­tric short take­off and land­ing, per­son­al pri­vate air trans­port, remote­ly pilot­ed autonomous car­go oper­a­tions, and oth­er inno­va­tions that will enable low­er costs, improved safe­ty and sus­tain­abil­i­ty, and improved ser­vice to under-served region­al trans­porta­tion needs. Ear­ly adopters are fly­ing today with some expect­ed to achieve cer­ti­fi­ca­tion and enter ser­vice as soon as 2024.

AUVSI Hamp­ton Roads & Vir­ginia Aero­space Busi­ness Asso­ci­a­tion (VASBA) is host­ing an AAM Sym­po­sium & Gala on Sep­tem­ber 27–28 at the Mar­riott City Cen­ter, New­port News to explore these inno­va­tions, high­light the oppor­tu­ni­ty for Vir­ginia invest­ment, and artic­u­late paths for­ward for greater progress.

Addi­tion­al­ly, an invite-only pri­vate Investor’s AAM Show­case will pre­cede the sym­po­sium on Sept 26 host­ed by the Hamp­ton Roads Exec­u­tive Air­port.
