Jedsy Gains Multi-Million Dollar Deal with Germany’s Healthcare Giant Asklepios Kliniken
Drone delivery company, Jedsy, has secured a multi-million dollar deal with Germany’s healthcare giant, Asklepios Kliniken, reports a press release. The pioneering Swiss start-up, known for its innovative delivery drones, has unveiled a major partnership with Germany’s leading medical company, Asklepios Kliniken.
The announcement was made at the U.S Dallas UP Summit last week. The collaboration is set to bring about substantial changes in healthcare supply delivery with potential far-reaching effects.
Founded in early 2021 by Herbert Weirather and Mirko Cesena, Jedsy’s innovation includes direct docking of their drones at the recipient’s window or balcony. These docking stations which double as charging hubs, enables a strong level of automation and decentralisation within their delivery network. This innovation not only ensures rapid deliveries, but represents excellent cost-efficiency.

Asklepios Kliniken, a heavyweight in Germany’s healthcare landscape, boasting nearly 170 facilities and a workforce of over 67,000 people, is synonymous with a holistic patient-centric approach.
Coupled with Medilys, a specialist provider of laboratory and diagnostic services, and an important division of Asklepios, the two play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of patient care. Their commitment to advancing medical diagnostics and services has earned them a well deserved reputation for excellence.
Both Jedsy and Medilys are embarking on a transformative partnership aimed at revolutionising logistics. Their collaboration will establish new delivery routes in contrast to traditional van and lorry deliveries.
The release explains, “Extensive investigations are already underway for the first routes, including ambitious plans for a further 49 connections. This bold expansion underscores their steadfast commitment to efficiently serve an ever-growing healthcare network, ensuring patients have timely access to care precisely where and when it’s needed most. The drone delivery’s superior speed, reduced environmental impact, and enhanced accessibility reflect their dedication to pioneering healthcare logistics.”
It continues, “In addition to solidifying this partnership, Jedsy and Asklepios have a grander vision in mind that is not just addressing inefficiencies in the supply chain and adding speed to healthcare to increase quality, but measurable add to the sustainability targets through reducing emission, noise and operating time of machinery.” Both companies are committed to aligning their efforts with the principles of the European Green Deal.
