PODCAST: Vaisala’s Fernando Trolic Slamic talks about weather and environmental monitoring for Advanced Air Mobility.

Our next podcast — and first one of 2024 — is live!

This week, we spoke to Fernando Trolic Slamic, Director of Strategy and Business Development at Vaisala.

Fernando’s areas of focus are new markets in urban mobility, environmental monitoring and climate change adaptation with a particular focus on future air mobility and aviation.

In this episode, he talks more about Vaisala’s work to-date when it comes to weather and environmental monitoring in aviation, and then how it can play a key role in the emerging Advanced Air Mobility market.

Fernando talks about Vaisala’s particular systems, which can benefit the aviation sector, and its aviation weather management solutions, configurable for any airport, geography and climate.

As other weather factors for eVTOL aircraft include wind and extreme temperatures such as icing, Fernando discusses the key challenges these pose and key considerations companies need to look out for in order to be as efficient as possible.
