Eve Air Mobility Announces Antonio João Carmesini Barcellos as VP of Industrialisation 

Eve Air Mobil­i­ty announced this week that Anto­nio João Carmesi­ni Bar­cel­los, cur­rent Chair­man of the Board and Gen­er­al Direc­tor of Embraer Por­tu­gal, is to become the com­pa­ny’s new Vice Pres­i­dent of Indus­tri­al­i­sa­tion, reports a press release.

With over 27 years of expe­ri­ence in the avi­a­tion indus­try, Carmesi­ni spent almost eight years as the Direc­tor of Man­u­fac­tur­ing Engi­neer­ing at Embraer. He is renowned for his strate­gic lead­er­ship, over­see­ing pro­duc­tion oper­a­tions and dri­ving inno­va­tion to increase effi­cien­cy and prod­uct qual­i­ty.

Johann Bor­dais, CEO of Eve, com­ment­ed, “Carmesi­ni brings a com­bi­na­tion of deep tech­ni­cal exper­tise and strate­gic vision that will be invalu­able to our mis­sion to trans­form urban air mobil­i­ty.”

Carmesi­ni added, “I am proud to have con­tributed to Embraer in var­i­ous posi­tions over the years and I am excit­ed to bring that expe­ri­ence to Eve. With a focus on indus­tri­al­i­sa­tion, my goal is to enhance the company’s ecosys­tem of inno­v­a­tive solu­tions, ensur­ing effi­cient and high-qual­i­ty pro­duc­tion process­es that will con­tribute to Eve’s sus­tain­able growth.”

Last July, Eve revealed that its first eVTOL pro­duc­tion facil­i­ty will be locat­ed in the city of Taubaté, in the state of São Paulo, Brazil. The com­pa­ny has begun assem­bly of its first full-scale eVTOL pro­to­type, which will be fol­lowed by a test cam­paign in 2024. Eve’s eVTOL is sched­uled to enter into ser­vice in 2026.
