MONTREAL 2024: ICAO to host eVTOL Insights’ delegates for an industry tour of its headquarters, the day after its conference

Delegates attending eVTOL Insights’ upcoming conference in Montreal will now have the chance to be attend a tour of The International Civil Aviation Organization’s (ICAO) headquarters.

Since it was established in 1944, ICAO’s support and coordination has helped countries to diplomatically and technically realise a uniquely rapid and dependable network of global air mobility, connecting families, cultures, and businesses all over the world, and promoting sustainable growth and socio-economic prosperity wherever aircraft fly.

As it enters a new era of digitisation, and of incredible new flight and propulsion innovations, air transport is relying more than ever on ICAO’s expert support and technical and diplomatic guidance to help chart a new and exciting future for international flight.

This tour is part of eVTOL Insights’ conference offering between May 1st and 3rd. It will start with an earlier industry tour on Wednesday, May 1st, then a pre-event drinks evening reception.

The day conference is all day on Thursday, May 2nd, with an awards ceremony taking place in the evening. Entries are still open and the deadline is Friday, April 19th.

This tour will take place on Friday, May 3rd, the day after the conference, and will start in the museum, where guides will provide a history of ICAO and its functions.

We will then visit the ICAO Assembly Hall, Council Chamber, and Air Navigation Chamber, before concluding back at the entrance. The whole hour will last an hour.

All participants must undergo security screening (metal detection and X‑ray) and present identification issued by an ICAO member State. Participants must remain with the tour group at all times during the visit.

To be part of the tour on Friday, you will need to buy a conference ticket which can be purchased here.
