VI&E Solutions Strengthens Board of Directors 

In late March, Vola­tus Infra­struc­ture & Ener­gy Solu­tions (VI&E) announced John Sotorp to its Board of Direc­tors and 10 days lat­er, anoth­er addi­tion has been wel­comed — Cody Ross. 

Sotorp has a wealth of expe­ri­ence in com­mer­cial lend­ing, busi­ness devel­op­ment and strate­gic mar­ket­ing. Grant Fisk, CEO of VI&E Solu­tions, remarked, “With John’s unpar­al­leled exper­tise in inter­na­tion­al busi­ness and sus­tain­able ener­gy devel­op­ment with­in munic­i­pal­i­ties, he brings an invalu­able asset to Vola­tus. His expe­ri­ences and vision will undoubt­ed­ly pro­pel us toward even greater suc­cess in our endeav­ors.”

Hail­ing from Nor­way, raised in the U.S and resid­ing in Latin Amer­i­ca for over a decade, Sotorp grad­u­at­ed from Wash­ing­ton Uni­ver­si­ty with a bachelor’s in busi­ness and then embarked on a dis­tin­guished career in finance, spe­cial­is­ing in com­mer­cial lend­ing with the joint ven­ture group, Old Stone Devel­op­ment Group. Sotorp then estab­lished his own lend­ing group, achiev­ing an annu­al loan pro­duc­tion exceed­ing USD100 mil­lion a year until 2012, when he relo­cat­ed with his fam­i­ly to Ecuador. Since he has advised on the dis­po­si­tion and acqui­si­tion of com­mer­cial real estate while rep­re­sent­ing a promi­nent Ger­man Renew­able part­ner in expand­ing solar and wind projects across Latin Amer­i­ca. His direc­tor­ship at Rock Cap­i­tal, a UK-based real estate fund oper­a­tions, fur­ther ele­vates his exper­tise in the field. 

Cody Ross is the CEO of Wis­con­sin-based Sling­shotVR. As the lat­est addi­tion, he pro­vides key insights and guid­ance to the com­pa­ny across sports, media and tech­nol­o­gy sec­tors.

Ross is an expe­ri­enced pro­fes­sion­al with over 14 years of achieve­ments span­ning sports, media and tech­nol­o­gy indus­tries. He has pros­pered in dri­ving busi­ness devel­op­ment, secur­ing key licens­ing agree­ments and fos­ter­ing part­ner­ships that have helped organ­i­sa­tions to reach new heights.

In his cur­rent role at Sling­shotVR, he has spear­head­ed the company’s growth by clos­ing sig­nif­i­cant cap­i­tal invest­ments, man­ag­ing finances and imple­ment­ing a strong busi­ness strat­e­gy. This includes the estab­lish­ment of cut­ting-edge train­ing plat­forms for the sports mar­ket and secur­ing mul­ti-year part­ner­ships with cham­pi­onship organ­i­sa­tions in the NBA, as well as top-tier ath­letes.
