International Drone Show 2024 in Odense features drone demo flights and industry discussions this month
One of Northern Europe’s largest drone event takes place at the end of this month, as the International Drone Show 2024 heads to the Danish city of Odense and features international attendees, exhibitors and drone demonstration flights.
Taking place from May 28th to 29th, the event will feature insights on relevant drone industry topics, inspiring talks from experts and an elaborate exhibition. The programme is split into five main sections: a Demo Flight programme, Track 1 (Defense, Security and the Arctic), Track 2 (Leglislation and Operational Safety), Track 3 (Industrial Use Cases and New Technologies) and Track 4 (Drone Basic).
The show also gives you an opportunity for delegates to plan and execute onsite B2B meetings, gain new contacts at our pre- and after-hours networking events.

Drones play a key role in military and security operations, offering enhanced reconnaissance, surveillance, counterterrorism, disaster response, and law enforcement. Key speakers on this theme include Kay Wackwitz, CEO and Founder of Drone Industry Insights, who will talk about trends in the drone market and industry use cases. This track also includes workshops with the Danish Ministry of Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organisation (DALO) on their drone use and procurement, and a panel debate on overcoming challenges when using drones in the Arctic.
Drone legislation and operational safety is a pivotal theme addressing how to harnessinnovation while addressing public safety and privacy concerns. Key speakers in this theme include Lars Korsholm, Head of Division, the Danish Civil Aviation Authority, who will present a glimpse of the ongoing work in Denmark’s upcoming drone strategy.
Mehmet Keyvan, CEO & Founder, Keyvan, will talk about their solution that can create a green operation zone with data for each country or state for drone operations by taking into account airways, procedures, special areas and limitations.
Drones are increasingly adopted as a resource-effective tool that also minimises risk and can perform a range of tasks such as infrastructure inspection, disaster management, environmental monitoring or even healthcare logistics. Track highlights include Titta Andersson-Bohren, European Policy and Community Affairs Manager, Wing, who will speak about their public outreach guidelines based on experience with communities in Australia, US, Finland and Ireland.
In addition, Bobby Healy, CEO & Founder of Manna, will speak about drone delivery operations in Europe. Last but not least, Laurent Rouchon, Sales Director, Drone Volt, will talk about high voltage line inspection and provide a world- exclusive glimpse of their new LINEDRONE.
The Drone Show will be hosted by Odense Robotics and UAS Denmark, which offers key testing facilities and Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) flights.
Odense Robotics is Denmark’s national cluster for robot, automation and drone technology. Its vision is to make the country an even bigger, better robot nation. It does this by accelerating innovation and sustainable development in the industry.
UAS Denmark Test Center is an unmanned systems technology test and development center in Odense. It is a collaboration between Hans Christian Andersen Airport, Odense Municipality and the University of Southern Denmark.

Tickets are now on sale and are priced at 306.25 DKK (Danish Krone) for students, 1,118.75 DKK for Odense Robotics members, 2,056.25 for non-members. A ticket to attend the IDS after-hour event is 530 DKK.
