America’s Flying Taxi Companies “Win Over the Middle East”
It is exciting to see the Middle East’s driving ambition to spearhead the AAM industry, where electric air taxis will become a dominant aviation force in the region over the next ten years, begin to unfold.
It is as clear as a whirring rotor blade that the global leading companies in this nascent industry must have a major presence in the MidEast and the U.S should be lauded that two of its own, Joby Aviation and Archer, have been feted by the Crown Princes, Sheikhs and governing bodies to lead the charge.
Of course, China is the industry’s other advanced bedfellow with leading companies like EHang and AutoFlight. So, for America to beat China over the early Arabian spoils, is no mean feat.
At the recent Future Aviation Forum held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the U.S hoisted the flying taxi flag; displayed its futuristic aviation prowess; and wooed the region’s ruling class.

JoeBen Meeting and Greeting
Both U.S companies released a video on ‘X’, showing off their recent business successes. Whether it was via charm personified, Archer’s Chief Commercial Officer, Nikhil Noel, or Joby’s Founder and CEO, JoeBen Bevirt.
Joby tweeted, “We were pleased to showcase our aircraft to a wide range of government representatives at the Future Aviation Forum in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia today, and discuss the exciting opportunities for electric vertical flight as part of the Kingdom’s commitment to sustainability through its Vision 2030.” @ksagaca
