Dufour Aerospace Appoints Sascha Hardegger as its new CEO
Swiss-based, Dufour Aerospace, announced this week the appointment of Sascha Hardegger as Chief Executive Officer, effective from August 1st, reports a press release.
Hardegger succeeds Thomas Pfammatter, co-Founder of the company, who has been Dufour’s CEO for seven years. Pfammatter will continue to serve as Head of Strategy as well as a member of the Board of Directors and remain actively involved in the company with his operational experience and business network.
Meanwhile, Hardegger previously served as Dufour’s Chief Commercial Officer, joining the company in 2021. Previously, he had 12 years experience in Helicopter Emergency Medical Services and Search and Rescue at Swiss Air-Rescue Rega, a renowned helicopter rescue organisation and air ambulance provider.

As a member of management and Head of Helicopter Operations, Hardegger led Rega’s innovations in unmanned aerial vehicles and drone programs. He is also a pilot of various aircraft.
He commented, “In the coming months and years we will strengthen ties with our partners, ensure market entry and build up production. The development and engineering that are fundamental to our progress will always remain crucial to Dufour.”
He added, “I look forward to shaping and supporting these processes as CEO and to working even more closely with our employees and stakeholders.”
Pfammatter remarked, “Sascha has proven to be the leader the company needs for the next phases of development, and I am happy to support the board and the management of Dufour Aerospace in my future strategic role.”
