UrbanLink Air Mobility Reports “Significant Q2 Achievements Post-Launch”

With Entry into Ser­vice Expect­ed by Sum­mer 2026, Urban­Link Mobil­i­ty, a South Flori­da-based Advanced Air Mobil­i­ty (AAM) oper­a­tor, has made  sig­nif­i­cant progress dur­ing Q2 2024, reports a press release. This marks the company’s first full quar­ter of activ­i­ty fol­low­ing its offi­cial launch in May. 

With just 18 months away from receiv­ing its first Lil­i­um eVTOL jet, Urban­Link has achieved the fol­low­ing:-

For­mal Launch: Placed an order for 20 firm and 20 option Lil­i­um Jets and launched Urban­Link Air Mobil­i­ty at CoMo­tion Mia­mi 2024 Con­fer­ence in Mia­mi.

Pres­i­dent Appoint­ment: Appoint­ed air­craft leas­ing vet­er­an Ray­mond Sis­son as Pres­i­dent to focus on rais­ing cap­i­tal to finance UrbanLink’s ini­tial order for 20 Lil­i­um Jets and spear­head the cre­ation on an in-house air­craft leas­ing com­pa­ny to hold the com­pa­ny’s air­craft orders. 

Board Recruit­ment: Recruit­ed an expe­ri­enced board of direc­tors and advi­sors with exper­tise in all areas of air­line oper­a­tions, includ­ing net­work plan­ning, air­craft finance, air­craft per­for­mance, gov­ern­men­tal rela­tions and media comms. 

Ver­ti­port Agree­ments: Signed ini­tial agree­ments with two estab­lished ver­ti­port devel­op­ers (Fer­rovial and Sky­way Tech­nolo­gies) for the plan­ning and devel­op­ment of ver­ti­ports in key mar­kets to sup­port the planned route net­work.

Part­ner­ship Devel­op­ment: Began devel­op­ing col­lab­o­ra­tions and alliances with ride share and oth­er trans­porta­tion providers to sup­port the plan for joint mar­ket­ing, sales and dis­tri­b­u­tion.

AI Sys­tem Devel­op­ment: Com­menced devel­op­ment of UrbanLink’s arti­fi­cial intel­li­gence oper­at­ing system,Thayer A.I.™, to deter­mine air­craft and crew posi­tion­ing, fore­cast surge demand, and pro­vide real time pric­ing and sched­ul­ing changes.

Cer­ti­fi­ca­tion Plan: Devel­oped the plan for cer­ti­fy­ing a Part 135 air­line to oper­ate the Lil­i­um Jets, includ­ing the ini­tial air­craft for the cer­ti­fi­ca­tion.

Ed Wegel, Founder and Chair­man of Urban­Link, com­ment­ed, “We have made excel­lent strides in our first quar­ter as a com­pa­ny. Ensur­ing we have the nec­es­sary assets for our oper­a­tions pri­or to our first eVTOL deliv­ery has been a key pri­or­i­ty. We are excit­ed about the future and will con­tin­ue to lead the charge to bring smarter, more effi­cient and car­bon-free trans­porta­tion sys­tems that enhance con­nec­tiv­i­ty and sus­tain­abil­i­ty to South Flori­da and beyond.”

He con­tin­ued, “In Q3 we will open our new Urban­Link HQ, con­tin­ue our cer­ti­fi­ca­tion process and launch our first adver­tis­ing cam­paign. These cam­paigns will include our fre­quent fly­er pro­gram and col­lab­o­ra­tive sales pro­grams with ground trans­port providers.”
