EVFLY expands operations “with purchase of L30 UAVs from ABZ Innovation”
EVFLY announced this week its acquisition of L30 Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) from ABZ Innovation, a Hungarian company specialising in the manufacture of European-certified drones, reports a press release. The L30 UAV is used primarily for crop spraying.
ABZ has over 13 years experience in the drone industry. It has established itself as a key player, focussing on the agricultural, transport and aerial work sectors. The company is an appointed exclusive dealer in Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Cambodia and Vietnam as well as operating in 9 other regions. ABZ also offers replacement equipment during repairs, online tech support and distributor support with sales materials and spare parts.
EVFLY’s acquisition marks a major turning point in a strategy to expand its business, where it aims to position itself to become a key player in the UAV and Advanced Air Mobility sector via ABZ’s exclusive dealership regions.
The release explains, “The first deliveries of L30 UAVs are scheduled to arrive in Indonesia by the end of September 2024, followed by further deliveries by the end of the year.” It continues, “Following the arrival, ABZ Innovation will initiate training sessions from October to ensure EVFLY’s team is fully equipped and operational to operate the new technology effectively.”

The first drone deployment will be in the agriculture and logistics sectors. The two companies plan to expand their fleet with additional drones, the M40 and L10.
Yannick Erbs, co-Founder and CEO at EVFLY, commented, “The investment represents an exceptional opportunity not only for Indonesia, but also for the whole of Southeast Asia and Africa. We are convinced that these drones will revolutionise logistics and agriculture in these regions.”
Karoly Ludvigh, CEO of ABZ Innovation, added, “With EVFLY’s collaboration, ABZ Innovation is poised to strengthen its presence in the Asia region. This strategic move marks a significant milestone in our mission to drive sustainable growth and transformation globally.”
Additionally, EVFLY is actively exploring expansion opportunities in Africa and aims to be one of the first eVTOL and eCTOL operators when certification is approved, with pre-order agreements already in place with various manufacturers.
