Manuel Heredia Ortiz becomes CRISALION’s new CEO to lead company’s roadmap for its various business divisions

CRISALION Mobil­i­ty has appoint­ed Manuel Here­dia Ortiz as CEO, tak­ing over the role from founder Car­los Pove­da.

Pove­da will remain at the com­pa­ny as a board mem­ber and share­hold­er and the com­pa­ny has expressed its grat­i­tude to him for his ded­i­ca­tion dur­ing his time at the helm of CRISALION.

He said: I am delight­ed to be able to hand over to Manuel Here­dia, with whom I have had the oppor­tu­ni­ty to work close­ly over the last few months.

“I have no doubt that Manuel is the best can­di­date to take the project for­ward and I have the utmost con­fi­dence in him in this new role. I will be close­ly fol­low­ing and sup­port­ing the company’s progress.”

Since join­ing CRISALION Mobil­i­ty over a year ago, Here­dia Ortiz has played an instru­men­tal role in design­ing strat­e­gy and deliv­er­ing on the ambi­tious cor­po­rate roadmap for com­pa­ny’s var­i­ous busi­ness divi­sions, aimed at deliv­er­ing the elec­tric air and ground mobil­i­ty of the future.

Manuel boasts more than two decades’ inter­na­tion­al expe­ri­ence and has held posi­tions at var­i­ous avi­a­tion sec­tor lead­ers, play­ing a key role in deploy­ing inno­v­a­tive solu­tions.

Before join­ing CRISALION Mobil­i­ty, he held var­i­ous posi­tions at Air­bus Defence & Space, the defence divi­sion at Air­bus, includ­ing CEO of Air­bus Poland and VP Head of the A400M series, a mil­i­tary trans­port air­craft. Manuel has also been active­ly involved in avi­a­tion projects relat­ed to train­ing and new tech­nolo­gies.

Orig­i­nal­ly from Jaén, Manuel Here­dia Ortiz has a Degree in Indus­tri­al Engi­neer­ing from the Uni­ver­si­ty of Seville, a Doc­tor­ate from the Uni­ver­si­ty of Sheffield and an MBA from HEC Paris Busi­ness School.

Com­ment­ing on his new role, Manuel said: “I am very proud to take on the respon­si­bil­i­ty of lead­ing such a tal­ent­ed team. I am excit­ed about what we have built so far and every­thing the future holds, and I am huge­ly grate­ful for the trust that has been placed in me.”
