“Archer Completes Construction of Covington Manufacturing Facility”
Archer Aviation announced this week it has received “the certificate of occupancy for its high-volume manufacturing facility, ARC, which is connected to the Covington Municipal Airport in Georgia,” reports a press release. “Archer is now working to complete the tooling load-in for the initial manufacturing line at this facility.”
Production is planned to start early next year, with the goal of ramping to a rate of two aircraft per month by the end of 2025.
Archer has built ARC (the name given to the facility), in close partnership with car manufacturer, Stellantis, as the two companies continue to progress their plans to mass-produce Archer’s Midnight aircraft.

Covington Mayor, Fleeta Baggett, State Rep, Tim Fleming, Newton County Development President, Serra Hall, Newton County Chamber President, Debbie Harper, Covington City Manager, Tres Thomas, Newton County Commissioner, Lanier Sims, and Archer VP of Operations, Glen Burks, were joined by several local leaders and Archer and Stellantis team members to commemorate the completion of construction on Archer’s high-volume manufacturing facility with a ribbon-cutting ceremony (Photo: Archer)
The release continues, “Stellantis is contributing capital, advanced manufacturing technology and expertise and experienced personnel with the goal of scaling this facility to 650 aircraft annually by 2030.”
Georgia Governor Brian Kemp, remarked, “When we announced Archer’s choice to build this new manufacturing facility in Newton County, we knew it was just the start of an incredible relationship. Today’s announcement marks the next step in that journey, reaffirming Georgia’s commitment to working with innovative companies like Archer to create quality jobs and opportunities for years to come.”
Adam Goldstein, Archer’s co-Founder and CEO, added, “With construction on ARC now complete, our team is focused on the start of production. From there, it’s all about execution and scaling.”
