ANRA Technologies, Future Flight Global Collaborate “to Create Digital Backbone of AAM”

ANRA Technologies, a leader in autonomous aircraft traffic and fleet management, and Future Flight Global, an innovator in advanced air transportation, recently announced a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to develop the essential digital backbone for Advanced Air Mobility (AAM), reports a press release.

This collaboration will focus on creating the necessary infrastructure to support and scale electric and sustainable aircraft, such as eVTOL air taxis, powered lift aircraft, delivery drones and regional aircraft, by offering faster, more sustainable and connected travel.

The release states, “According to Deloitte’s AAM Survey, the market for passenger and cargo mobility in the U.S is anticipated to reach USD115 billion annually by 2035, generating over 280,000 jobs. Globally, this emerging sector is expected to cut intra-city travel times by over 60 percent, enable three times faster inter-city connections and reduce noise and emissions, fundamentally transforming how people and goods move.”

Karan Singh, Founder and CEO of Future Flight Global, commented, “This partnership will be instrumental in developing and testing the digital infrastructure needed to support the next generation of AAM aircraft and progress towards autonomy, transforming how airspace is managed and unlocking new opportunities for mobility worldwide.”

He continued, “We aim to create a transportation ecosystem that fundamentally improves how people and goods move. Without the right infrastructure and system to manage airspace, integrate vehicles and support seamless operations, the vision won’t scale. That’s why the digital backbone is so critical.”

The release continues, “As AAM transitions from concept to real-world implementation, ensuring safe and efficient operations, this requires advanced coordination among regulators, operators, and technology providers. The collaboration between ANRA Technologies and Future Flight Global addresses this need by developing a robust, interoperable, real-time airspace management and mission planning system.”

Adding, “This integrated platform will help autonomous aircraft avoid collisions, manage airspace congestion, and synchronise with vertiports and charging networks.”

Amit Ganjoo, Founder and CEO of ANRA Technologies, remarked, “By working with an experienced business aviation partner like Future Flight Global, we aim to drive the development of an integrated ecosystem that leverages our ability to provide vertiport-to-vertiport services for fleet operators worldwide.”

By establishing “an intelligent and secure digital backbone enabled by interoperability data standards, the two parties aim to power these developments, enable job creation, support sustainability goals and open new avenues for mobility,” says the release.

This new digital backbone is to integrate advanced data analytics, real-time decision-making and advanced flight management to optimise routes, minimise delays and safeguard public safety, while prioritising emission reduction and noise pollution to align with regulatory requirements and community expectations.

Initially,  the partners plan to conduct pilot programs in urban and regional environments to validate their digital infrastructure under real-world conditions. They will also collaborate with aviation regulators to ensure compliance and public safety.

Alongside this, the collaboration aims to engage local communities and stakeholders, demonstrating the benefits of AAM while addressing questions about noise, airspace usage and environmental impact. Once proven, this scalable model can be adapted for global markets to support various geographies and operational needs.

Archer Midnight Aircraft (Photo: Business Wire)

Background

Future Flight Global (FFG) signed an MOU last August with Archer Aviation for the planned purchase of up to 116 Midnight aircraft worth up to USD580 million. FFG has made an initial deposit covering close to USD5 million in pre-delivery payments. The company was founded by members of the leadership team at Titan Aviation which has been operating business jets worldwide for over two decades.
