Atlantic Aviation has acquired Ferrovial Vertiports from Ferrovial, reinforcing Atlantic’s commitment to leading the industry in the creation of sustainable infrastructure to support Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) operations.
As a wholly owned subsidiary of Atlantic Aviation, Ferrovial Vertiports will immediately begin to operate under the name VertiPorts by Atlantic. The leadership team of the newly acquired business will continue its industry leading role in the development of various locations for eVTOL operations to connect communities in multiple regions across the United States.

He said: “The Ferrovial Vertiports team is pleased to join Atlantic Aviation to forge a transformative and visionary presence in the AAM infrastructure space. We’re setting a new standard for innovation and leadership in the industry which will transform how people move seamlessly to, thru, and between cities.”
Atlantic Aviation offers customers more than 100 fixed base operation (FBO) locations across North America. The company’s facilities each provide a full suite of critical services to the business aviation sector covering a wide range of aircraft ground handling and corporate flight support, including fueling and line services, ground transportation, catering, hangar, deicing and ramp space.
Atlantic Aviation also has a long track record for advancing eVTOL infrastructure, from ongoing installations of electric aircraft charging stations at a growing number of its current FBO facilities to initiating utility upgrades at New York’s well-known 34th Street Heliport to support eVTOL operations in the area.
Jeff Foland, Chief Executive Officer at Atlantic Aviation, said: “We see tremendous long-term benefits and growth in building out infrastructure to support the advanced air mobility space.
“The combination of our operational expertise with the outstanding work the Ferrovial Vertiports team has done so far will serve as a tremendous boost to safe and efficient eVTOL operations as the network develops.”
Luke Bugeja, Chief Executive Officer of Ferrovial Airports, added: “Vertiports will be an essential element in Atlantic Aviation’s development of sustainable solutions and state-of-the art aviation services. We’re pleased to see Atlantic Aviation embrace Ferrovial Vertiports’ innovative work enabling advanced air mobility.”
