“CycloTech Establishes German Subsidiary in Bavaria”

Aus­tria-based CycloTech, a lead­ing avi­a­tion propul­sion sys­tems com­pa­ny, has expand­ed to Ger­many by estab­lish­ing a sub­sidiary in Bavaria, reports a press release.

CycloTech, who is devel­op­ing an inno­v­a­tive sys­tem based on the Voith-Schnei­der-Prin­ci­ple, has the back­ing of the Bavar­i­an state gov­ern­ment, who is offer­ing strong sup­port for this tech­nol­o­gy. For­mer State Min­is­ter and eco­nom­ic pol­i­cy spokesper­son of the CSU par­lia­men­tary group, Ker­stin Schrey­er, along­side Mem­ber of Par­lia­ment Max­i­m­il­ian Böltl, will assist the com­pa­ny.

Schrey­er remarked, “Bavaria is the inno­va­tion hub for avi­a­tion and aero­space in Ger­many and with our High­tech Agen­da Bavaria and the Aero­space Clus­ter, we pro­vide an excel­lent plat­form for com­pa­nies like CycloTech.”

He con­tin­ued,  “The unique CycloRo­tor propul­sion sys­tems offers Bavaria’s avi­a­tion indus­try cru­cial momen­tum for the next gen­er­a­tion of sus­tain­able mobil­i­ty solu­tions. We will sup­port the com­pa­ny in every way pos­si­ble to estab­lish this future tech­nol­o­gy here.” 

While CycloTech’s HQ in Linz will con­tin­ue to serve as its devel­op­ment and flight-test­ing cen­tre, expand­ing into Bavaria is aimed at strength­en­ing research and indus­tri­al col­lab­o­ra­tions. 

The area around Taufkirchen/Ottobrunn offers strong poten­tial, due to a strong indus­tri­al pres­ence, inno­va­tion strength and sci­en­tif­ic exper­tise, bol­stered by a new aero­space fac­ul­ty at the Tech­ni­cal Uni­ver­si­ty of Munich.

Dr. Mar­cus Bauer, CEO of CycloTech, com­ment­ed, “Bavaria offers the per­fect com­bi­na­tion of avi­a­tion and auto­mo­tive exper­tise, excel­lent research and devel­op­ment, as well as a strong polit­i­cal and eco­nom­ic envi­ron­ment. Here, we have the ide­al con­di­tions to active­ly shape the future of elec­tric flight.” 

Via the sub­sidiary, CycloTech aims to expand its R&D activ­i­ties in Ger­many and, dur­ing the medi­um term, pre­pare the ser­i­al pro­duc­tion of CycloRo­tor propul­sion sys­tems.

Max­i­m­il­ian Böltl, spokesper­son for the Young Group of the CSU par­lia­men­tary fac­tion, point­ed out, “Bavaria, with its High­tech Agen­da, strong net­works, and excel­lent research insti­tu­tions, is the ide­al loca­tion for for­ward-think­ing com­pa­nies like CycloTech. We will active­ly sup­port this jour­ney because our goal is to keep inno­va­tions in Bavaria and estab­lish new tech­nol­o­gy lead­ers.” 

CycloTech is pur­su­ing a long-term growth strat­e­gy with its expan­sion into the largest state of Ger­many. 

Bauer continued,“This is not a short-term move but a strate­gic deci­sion for the future. We are lay­ing the foun­da­tion for a new era in avi­a­tion.
