In this episode, Richard talks about his back­ground and how he joined the team at Electro.aero. He pro­vides an update on the com­pa­ny’s roadmap and goes into detail about AE-7D and how 2025 will be an impor­tant year for the com­mit­tee and stan­dard­i­s­a­tion efforts.

Richard also goes into details about the chal­lenges with avi­a­tion charg­ing, and expands on why so many engi­neers are sup­port­ive of the require­ments for charg­ing solu­tions. We hear why elec­tric air­craft charg­ing is so dif­fer­ent from car and heavy vehi­cles, and under­stand what ‘stan­dard­i­s­a­tion’ means for the indus­try.

We also talk about ground infra­struc­ture trends and what Richard thinks will dom­i­nate in the future.
