Advanced Air Mobility Institute publishes “2025 Winter Global AAM ForumSummary Report”

The Advanced Air Mobility Institute (AAMI) has published its “2025 Winter Global AAM Forum (GAAMF) Summery Report”, states a press release.

The study analyses industry progress, regulatory challenges and market trends from over 70 countries, while synthesising insights from key stakeholders; examines public sentiment; technological advancements; and the socioeconomic impact of AAM globally.

Amin Vafadar, the AAMI Executive Director and GAAMF Report Editor-in-Chief, commented,  “AAM is no longer a distant dream, but an imminent reality poised to transform global transportation. Its success depends on international collaboration to address regulatory, infrastructure and public engagement challenges.”

He continued, “By aligning standards, fostering innovation and advocating for policies that ensure safety and sustainability, we can lay the foundation for a more connected and inclusive future.”

The Forum, which included a keynote from eVTOL Insights’ Executive Editor, Jason Pritchard, highlighted the industry’s continued focus on Public Safety, Emergency Response and Air Medical Transport, given its immediate societal benefits. Agriculture Services and Cargo Delivery also gained interest, reflecting AAM’s expanding role beyond urban passenger transport.

The release says, “While progress continues in eVTOL aircraft, drone logistics and sustainable propulsion, regulatory hurdles and public perception remain challenging. The report emphasises the need for harmonised policies, streamlined certification processes and public awareness efforts to accelerate safe, scalable AAM integration.”

It goes on, “Survey results indicate most industry experts anticipate commercial eVTOL operations within the next 5 years. Electric aviation is already here with eCTOL fixed wing aircraft type certified and flying today.”

Meanwhile, the Board of Liaisons has elected its leadership for the 2025 Summer term. Fernanda Siniscalchi (Brazil) will serve as Chair; Eyal Zehavi (Israel) as Vice-Chair; Walid Meskine (Saudi Arabia) as Treasurer; and Remus Matei (Austria) as Secretary.

Siniscalchi remarked, “Our Liaisons play a vital role in connecting global perspectives and unifying our efforts to advance AAM in a meaningful way. Together, we can strengthen collaboration with industry, authorities and local communities to ensure AAM development aligns with real-world need.” She added, “I’m excited to contribute and to achieve these goals alongside such a dedicated and inspiring team.”
