“Manna Aero Collaborates with Takeaway Just Eat for Drone Delivery Service”

Ireland-based Drone Delivery company, Manna Aero, is to collaborate with takeaway giant, Just Eat, to revolutionise the way people can receive their future food orders, reports a press release.

Starting in Ireland, the plan is to expand the service across Europe, to make deliveries faster and more flexible, especially during peak times as well as to cover more remote areas.

The first rollout location is to be in Dublin. Customers ordering from participating restaurants will now be able to opt for drone delivery and receive their meals in as little as three minutes.

Bobby Healy, Founder and CEO of Manna, enthused, “This is a pivotal milestone for drone delivery in Europe. By combining our expertise in scalable drone operations with Just Eat’s vast customer base and logistics network, we’re setting the standard for sustainable, convenient and safe food delivery.”

Manna’s drone network currently operates under European Union aviation safety agency (EASA) regulations, and the firm is actively working with local authorities to expand the service to more countries.

The expertise both parties hold is impressive. Manna Aero has already carried out over 165,000 successful deliveries in Ireland, and is one of the largest drone delivery operators in Europe, transporting everything from medicine, healthcare products and food to books.

Just Eat has rapidly grown to become a leading online food delivery marketplace right across Europe and the world with operations from Germany and Denmark to Italy, Ireland and Poland. Other countries include Canada and Australia.

Based in Amsterdam, the company has 356,000 connected partners and over 84 million active global customers. In the UK and Ireland alone, the company in 2023, generated EUR1.3 billion, accounting for 245 million orders from 18 million clients.

This is a huge deal for Manna Aero.

Jessica Hall, the Just Eat Chief Product Officer, commented, “We’re very excited to be working with Manna to offer an alternative form of delivery, ensuring customers receive what they want, when they want it.”

She continued, “This partnership is the latest in our commitment to testing innovative solutions that enhance convenience and improve user experience.”

Drones will be deployed from local delivery hubs operated by Manna.
