UrbanV, Aeroporti di Roma “to Host Inaugural AAM Event at Fiumicino Airport”

Italy-based Ver­ti­port devel­op­er, UrbanV, and Aero­por­ti di Roma are set to host the Air­port AAM Mas­ter­class at Fiu­mi­ci­no Air­port in Sep­tem­ber, reports a press release. The event takes place in Rome between the 23rd and 25th of that month. It is adver­tised as “an exclu­sive learn­ing expe­ri­ence focused on inte­grat­ing Advanced Air Mobil­i­ty (AAM) in to mod­ern air­port and trans­porta­tion sys­tems.”

The release says, “Designed for air­port exec­u­tives, plan­ners, engi­neers, and indus­try stake­hold­ers, this mas­ter­class will pro­vide the knowl­edge and tools need­ed to nav­i­gate the evolv­ing AAM land­scape. Unlike tra­di­tion­al avi­a­tion sum­mits, this pro­gram empha­sis­es struc­tured learn­ing, fea­tur­ing lead­ing aca­d­e­mics and indus­try experts deliv­er­ing spe­cialised mod­ules and hands-on work­shops.”

The cur­ricu­lum is to cov­er key aspects of AAM inte­gra­tion. They include:-

: Tech­ni­cal Inno­va­tions: The lat­est advance­ments in AAM tech­nol­o­gy.

: Mul­ti­modal Inte­gra­tion: Strate­gies for seam­less con­nec­tiv­i­ty between AAM and exist­ing air­port infra­struc­ture.

: Eco­nom­ic Via­bil­i­ty: Busi­ness mod­els and invest­ment oppor­tu­ni­ties.

: Reg­u­la­to­ry Chal­lenges: Under­stand­ing evolv­ing poli­cies and com­pli­ance require­ments.

: Human & Envi­ron­men­tal Con­sid­er­a­tions: Address­ing soci­etal impacts, sus­tain­abil­i­ty, and com­mu­ni­ty accep­tance.

The organ­is­ers aim to pro­vide a bal­anced per­spec­tive, wel­com­ing both AAM pro­po­nents and skep­tics to dis­cus­sions. Atten­dees will gain impor­tant insights whether the goal is to advance AAM imple­men­ta­tion or to bet­ter under­stand its chal­lenges and impli­ca­tions for air­port oper­a­tions.

The speak­er line­up will include top aca­d­e­mics, air­port rep­re­sen­ta­tives and experts from across the AAM ecosys­tem.
