Varon Vehicles to launch first Skyscraper Virtual Summit and showcase work to implement Urban Air Mobility in Latin America
Varon Vehicles will launch its first Skyscraper Virtual Summit this month, which will feature interviews, presentations and videos focusing on the implementation of Urban Air Mobility in Latin America.
The company started engaging with various stakeholders from across the industry earlier this year, as part of its series of eight think tanks which ran from August to October. Topics discussed included air vehicles, vertiports, insurance, airspace integration and regulations.
Skyscraper is the culmination of all those conversations and from November 20th, anyone can watch all of the content. Those watching can also interact with the speakers, but only until December 15th.
Companies which have partnered with Varon Vehicles for Skyscraper include Embraer, Real-Time Innovation, PS&S, GE Aviation, Jaunt Air Mobility, Hyundai Motor Group, NEXA Capital Partners, Honeywell Aerospace, Vertical Flight Society and the Canadian Advanced Air Mobility Consortium.
Felipe Varon, CEO and Founder of Varon Vehicles, said: “Skyscraper 2020 is Varon Vehicles first virtual summit, it will be open to everyone to visit anytime starting November 20th.
“All material will be available permanently and visitors will be able to interact with presenters. We’ll be having exciting presentations from all our ecosystem participants on specifics about our implementation of Urban Air Mobility in Latin America. I’d like to invite all the community and public in general to tune in when it airs!”
The company is working on developing a very confined and controlled transportation system, which consists of a series of vertiports connected to each other via well defined and permanent virtual lanes. It is establishing partnerships with eVTOL aircraft manufacturers to provide its vehicle fleets, and plans its first implementation to be in Colombia.
Each vertiport will target a specific area and they will be placed both inside and outside of existing urban structures to generate city growth, and without the need for additional physical infrastructure.
Varon Vehicles is also developing infrastructure networks that can be implemented in any city and surroundings in a low cost manner, and which also provide new fast transportation connections without the need to build roads or rails, generate new desirable, commercial and residential development.
