A2Z Drone Delivery Strengthens Leadership Team “By Appointing Niklas Jung as Head of Strategy & Operations”

A2Z Drone Deliv­ery, a U.S‑based unmanned aer­i­al vehi­cle com­pa­ny, announced this week it has strength­ened its exec­u­tive lead­er­ship team with the appoint­ment of Niklas Jung as Head of Strat­e­gy & Oper­a­tions, reports a press release. 

Jung brings with him more than a decade of drone expe­ri­ence to the com­pa­ny, includ­ing sev­er­al years guid­ing Sky­ports Drone Ser­vices to be one of the industry’s most-trust­ed ser­vice part­ners and push­ing the bound­aries of unmanned aer­i­al ser­vices in drone logis­tics, inspec­tion and sur­veil­lance. As a trained elec­tri­cal engi­neer, Jung also has years of hands-on expe­ri­ence design­ing and build­ing UAV hard­ware.

While based in Sin­ga­pore, Jung joins the drone com­pa­ny in Cal­i­for­nia at a time that sees the tech­nol­o­gy provider expand its offer­ings from com­mer­cial drone deliv­ery plat­forms to also include an entire ecosys­tem for autonomous beyond-visu­al-line-of-sight (BVLOS) oper­a­tions with its patent­ed A2Z Air­Docks .

The release explains, “The com­bi­na­tion of pur­pose-built com­mer­cial drone plat­forms and auto­mat­ed drone charg­ing sta­tions is open­ing new oppor­tu­ni­ties for drone ser­vice providers, enter­prise com­pa­nies and glob­al gov­ern­ment enti­ties to launch ever-present drone ser­vices and last-mile drone deliv­ery across vir­tu­al­ly unlim­it­ed ranges of oper­a­tion.”

Yung remarked, “As the com­mer­cial drone indus­try is close to anoth­er great expan­sion, I see A2Z’s one-of-a-kind mul­ti-mis­sion UAV ecosys­tem as a poten­tial­ly world-lead­ing step among OEMs.” Adding, “I’m excit­ed for the oppor­tu­ni­ty and chal­lenge to lead the com­pa­ny into this next phase.”

He joins the com­pa­ny as it enters a new phase of growth. Ini­tial­ly, a tech­nol­o­gy provider for com­mer­cial drone ser­vice providers as well as enter­prise oper­a­tors, A2Z now also part­ners with enter­prise and gov­ern­men­tal agen­cies to build the drone infra­struc­ture that will pow­er future aer­i­al economies.
