Alcifo Collaborates with Cuberg “to Revolutionise AAM and Sustainable Aviation”
Alcifo, a developer of high-fidelity network simulation tools for Advanced Air Mobility (AAM), has announced a collaboration with Cuberg, a subsidiary of the Northvolt Group, specialising in cutting-edge Li-metal battery technology, reports a press release. This partnership aims to “propel sustainable aviation solutions into the future.”
The release explains, “At the heart of this strategic alliance is the integration of Cuberg’s state-of-the-art Li-metal battery technology into Alcifo’s advanced air mobility simulation model, XSTARcloud.”
It continues, “This proprietary model of Alcifo, developed in collaboration with NASA at Purdue and GeorgiaTech, represents a cutting-edge System of Systems platform, intricately combining aircraft and battery design with market demand, infrastructure considerations, and a high-fidelity on-demand air taxi operational model.”
The collaborative efforts will focus on “an in-depth market analysis exploring the potential applications of electric aircraft for various advanced air mobility missions, leveraging Cuberg’s advanced battery systems.” The outcome of this analysis will shed light on the market potential and economic advantages of Cuberg’s Li-metal battery technology for the electric aircraft market.
Recognising the higher energy density of lithium-metal technology, Cuberg acknowledged Alcifo’s platform “for illuminating the operational and economic benefits that this technology brings to AAM operators.”
The partnership aims to play a pivotal role in enabling the future of electric aviation.
