Alcifo Collaborates with Cuberg “to Revolutionise AAM and Sustainable Aviation”

Alci­fo, a devel­op­er of high-fideli­ty net­work sim­u­la­tion tools for Advanced Air Mobil­i­ty (AAM), has announced a col­lab­o­ra­tion with Cuberg, a sub­sidiary of the North­volt Group, spe­cial­is­ing in cut­ting-edge Li-met­al bat­tery tech­nol­o­gy, reports a press release. This part­ner­ship aims to “pro­pel sus­tain­able avi­a­tion solu­tions into the future.”

The release explains, “At the heart of this strate­gic alliance is the inte­gra­tion of Cuberg’s state-of-the-art Li-met­al bat­tery tech­nol­o­gy into Alci­fo’s advanced air mobil­i­ty sim­u­la­tion mod­el, XSTAR­cloud.”

It con­tin­ues, “This pro­pri­etary mod­el of Alci­fo, devel­oped in col­lab­o­ra­tion with NASA at Pur­due and Geor­giaT­e­ch, rep­re­sents a cut­ting-edge Sys­tem of Sys­tems plat­form, intri­cate­ly com­bin­ing air­craft and bat­tery design with mar­ket demand, infra­struc­ture con­sid­er­a­tions, and a high-fideli­ty on-demand air taxi oper­a­tional mod­el.”

The col­lab­o­ra­tive efforts will focus on “an in-depth mar­ket analy­sis explor­ing the poten­tial appli­ca­tions of elec­tric air­craft for var­i­ous advanced air mobil­i­ty mis­sions, lever­ag­ing Cuberg’s advanced bat­tery sys­tems.” The out­come of this analy­sis will shed light on the mar­ket poten­tial and eco­nom­ic advan­tages of Cuberg’s Li-met­al bat­tery tech­nol­o­gy for the elec­tric air­craft mar­ket.

Recog­nis­ing the high­er ener­gy den­si­ty of lithi­um-met­al tech­nol­o­gy, Cuberg acknowl­edged Alci­fo’s plat­form “for illu­mi­nat­ing the oper­a­tional and eco­nom­ic ben­e­fits that this tech­nol­o­gy brings to AAM oper­a­tors.” 

The part­ner­ship aims to play a piv­otal role in enabling the future of elec­tric avi­a­tion.
