“CycloTech Joins Leading Aviation Innovation Centre at Ludwig Bölkow Campus”

Aus­tri­an devel­op­er of CycloRo­tor tech­nol­o­gy, CycloTech, con­tin­ues to expand its pres­ence in Ger­many and has moved into new premis­es at the Lud­wig Bölkow Cam­pus in Taufkirchen near Munich, reports a press release. The com­pa­ny now becomes part of one of Europe’s most sig­nif­i­cant cen­tres for aero­space inno­va­tion. 

This move “marks the offi­cial launch of oper­a­tions at the cam­pus and high­lights CycloTech’s com­mit­ment to active­ly shap­ing the future of flight in col­lab­o­ra­tion with on-site part­ners,” explains the release. “The Lud­wig Bölkow Cam­pus rep­re­sents a unique syn­er­gy of indus­try, research, edu­ca­tion and entre­pre­neuri­al­ism.”

It con­tin­ues, “Ground­break­ing tech­nolo­gies emerge where pio­neer­ing spir­it meets robust infra­struc­ture. CycloTech is con­tribut­ing its thrust vec­tor­ing tech­nol­o­gy to an envi­ron­ment that is con­sis­tent­ly focused on the indus­tri­al real­i­sa­tion of advanced avi­a­tion inno­va­tions.” 

Dr. Mar­cus Bauer, CEO of CycloTech, com­ment­ed, “We don’t just want to be present here, we want to co-cre­ate, accel­er­ate and prove that rad­i­cal inno­va­tion can emerge at the heart of estab­lished struc­tures.” 

Thi­lo Pinar, MD of Lud­wig Bölkow Cam­pus, added, “CycloTech rep­re­sents a new gen­er­a­tion of avi­a­tion devel­op­ment. The deci­sion to become part of the Cam­pus con­firms our role as a home for indus­tri­al trail­blaz­ers.”

The new site will sup­port the expan­sion of indus­tri­al col­lab­o­ra­tions, fur­ther devel­op­ment of CycloRo­tor tech­nol­o­gy, and prepa­ra­tions for upcom­ing prod­uct matu­ri­ty phas­es. 

A phys­i­cal pres­ence on cam­pus “pro­vides direct links to estab­lished indus­try play­ers, cre­ates space for joint devel­op­ment projects and lays the foun­da­tion for sys­tem­at­i­cal­ly scal­ing tech­no­log­i­cal solu­tions,” says the release. 

CycloTech’s expan­sion into Bavaria is part of a long-term strat­e­gy. The company’s pres­ence at the Lud­wig Bölkow Cam­pus exem­pli­fies its ambi­tion to bring future-ori­ent­ed tech­nol­o­gy into appli­ca­tion in close col­lab­o­ra­tion with lead­ing actors in the avi­a­tion indus­try. The com­bi­na­tion of deep tech­no­log­i­cal exper­tise, prox­im­i­ty to indus­try, and strate­gic site selec­tion forms the basis for the next stages in the company’s devel­op­ment.
