Dubai Airshow 2025: “Flying Taxis To Take Centre Stage at World’s Largest AAM Showcase”

Pub­lic­i­ty is already begin­ning for the world’s largest Advanced Air Mobil­i­ty (AAM) show­case to date.

And at this year’s five day UAE Novem­ber event, lead­ing eVTOL com­pa­nies like Archer and Joby Avi­a­tion will be dis­play­ing their air­craft, as the city pre­pares for take-off and the green avi­a­tion rev­o­lu­tion next year, reports arabianbusiness.com .

Held under the patron­age of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Mak­toum, VP and Prime Min­is­ter of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the Air­show is set to place AAM in the glob­al spot­light with its largest and most diverse show­case to date.

From Novem­ber 17th to 21st, the Dubai World Cen­tral (DWC), a part of the expand­ing Al-Mak­toum Inter­na­tion­al Air­port (OMDW), will host more than 1,500 exhibitors; over 200 dis­played air­craft; and 350 speak­ers across 12 con­fer­ence tracks. The spot­light though will fall on eVTOLs, drones and ver­ti­port infra­struc­ture, affirm­ing the event as a glob­al launch­pad for next-gen­er­a­tion avi­a­tion.

Focus will be on the AAM Pavil­ion which is to be the hub of inno­va­tion, fea­tur­ing full-scale elec­tric air taxis, break­through tech­nolo­gies and immer­sive expe­ri­ences. Vis­i­tors will wit­ness future air­craft reveals and step into a “first-class lounge–style ver­ti­port,” offer­ing a glimpse of the air mobil­i­ty future.

Antho­ny Khoury, Joby Aviation’s Gen­er­al Man­ag­er for UAE, com­ment­ed, “The Dubai Airshow’s focus on Advanced Air Mobil­i­ty this year is a tes­ta­ment to the Unit­ed Arab Emirate’s lead­er­ship in this new era of flight. The ener­gy and ambi­tion here per­fect­ly align with the glob­al move­ment to bring qui­et, clean and fast air trav­el to com­mu­ni­ties world­wide.”

Waleed Alblooshi, Direc­tor of Cor­po­rate Mobil­i­ty Com­mu­ni­ca­tions at K2, added, “We are proud to show­case our eVTOL inno­va­tion through Autocraft, a UAE sub­sidiary brand based in Abu Dhabi. Beyond unveil­ing our eVTOL mod­el, we are cre­at­ing a unique AAM expe­ri­ence at our booth, where vis­i­tors can step into a first-class lounge–style ver­ti­port and expe­ri­ence the future of trav­el.”  

He con­tin­ued, “Look­ing ahead, we are com­mit­ted to mass-pro­duc­ing our elec­tric air taxis in Abu Dhabi and posi­tion­ing the UAE as a glob­al hub for man­u­fac­tur­ing. By build­ing these craft at scale local­ly, we will cre­ate new indus­tries, trans­fer knowl­edge and inspire the next gen­er­a­tion of Emi­rati tal­ent to lead the skies of tomor­row.”

Adding, “Dubai Air­show is more than an exhi­bi­tion. It is a glob­al stage for the nation’s vision in avi­a­tion.”

Saif Mohammed Al-Suwai­di, Direc­tor Gen­er­al of the UAE’s Gen­er­al Civ­il Avi­a­tion Author­i­ty, will open the AAM pro­gram with the nation­al roadmap for sus­tain­able, con­nect­ed air­space.

Oth­er high­lights include an address from Archer’s CEO, Adam Gold­stein, enti­tled State of the Indus­try: The Archer Vision – Mak­ing Air Mobil­i­ty Real; as well as insights from JoeBen Bevirt, CEO of Joby Avi­a­tion; and Omran Malek, Head of the SAVI Clus­ter at Abu Dhabi Invest­ment Office (ADIO), along­side oth­er lead­ers dri­ving AAM inte­gra­tion.

Dami­an Kyse­ly, Head of EMEA at Sky­ports Infra­struc­ture, remarked, “With our first com­mer­cial ver­ti­port, adja­cent to Dubai Inter­na­tion­al Air­port, well under con­struc­tion and close to break­ing ground at three fur­ther sites across Dubai, this event pro­vides the per­fect plat­form to show­case our momen­tum and exper­tise.”
