Dubai Airshow Confirms eVTOL Aircraft Will Feature As Part of Its Flying Display Programme

As the excitement continues to build for this year’s Dubai Airshow, which is nearly one week away, organisers have confirmed its flying display programme will feature eVTOL aircraft for the first time.

This landmark addition to the event, which is from November 17th to 21st, will give visitors a front-row seat to the evolution of urban mobility.

Companies such as Joby Aviation and Archer are already making excellent progress towards launching commercial operations in the UAE as early as 2026 or 2027, and it is not known if both firms will fly their aircraft during the week.

The introduction of eVTOL aircraft also aligns seamlessly with Dubai Airshow’s enhanced focus on Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) this year.

The 2025 edition will feature the largest and most diverse AAM showcase to date, highlighting rapid advances in infrastructure, regulation and certification that are accelerating this new era of aviation.

By spotlighting AAM, Dubai Airshow reinforces its role as a global testbed for innovation and a platform where the future takes flight.

Tim Hawes, Managing Director at Informa Markets, which organises this year’s airshow, said: “Every edition of Dubai Airshow is an opportunity to raise the bar for the global aerospace community – to bring more innovation, more ambition, and more inspiration to the world stage.

“The introduction of eVTOLs into the flying display exemplifies this spirit. It goes beyond showcasing aircraft; it’s about demonstrating what’s possible when vision, technology and collaboration converge. Dubai Airshow 2025 will set the pace for the industry’s future and reaffirm Dubai’s role as a platform for the next era of aviation.”

The historic showcase comes as Dubai Airshow prepares to deliver its most ambitious edition yet. More than 200 aircraft will feature across the flying and static displays, which is the largest in the event’s history. The variety will span commercial, military, private jets, UAVs and next-generation technologies.

Dubai Airshow 2025 will take place at Dubai World Central (DWC), Dubai Airshow Site, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

With more than 1,500 exhibitors, 490 delegations and 350 speakers, and overall representation from over 98 countries, organisers say this year’s edition is set to be the largest and most future-focused yet.
