Eve agrees with Volatus Infrastructure to support vertiport automation

Eve Air Mobility has signed with Volatus Infrastructure to supply vertiport automation software to support traffic management of future eVTOL vehicles. Eve’s urban air traffic management (UATM) software will be used to improve the capacity and efficiency of Volatus vertiports.

Eve co-CEO Andre Stein commented: “In addition to developing a new eVTOL vehicle, Eve has become a recognised leader in developing the infrastructure and ecosystem needed to enable the safe and efficient operation of eVTOLs around the world.

“This software will be specifically designed to support and maximise the capacity and efficiency of vertiports instead of modifying existing software designed for other purposes.

“This supports our strategy of not only developing an eVTOL, but also providing a comprehensive suite of services and support. By developing a Vertiport Automation software for Volatus, we will help support the efficient operation and growth of the industry.”

Eve’s UATM software will enable the integration of all airspace users in the urban environment critical to support the safety, efficiency, and improvement of the entire UAM ecosystem, including fleet and vertiport operators. This new collaboration reinforces a shared commitment to safely integrating and scaling global UAM operations.

Volatus offers three main eVTOL infrastructure designs, a ‘vehicle agnostic’ charging station, plus an app and maintenance programs. Volatus Infrastructure Co-Founder Grant Fisk added: “Eve’s new vertiport software will enable Volatus to ensure safe, reliable and efficient eVTOL flight operations.

“It is vitally important to get these systems up and running so that when the FAA approves the first eVTOL vehicle, we are ready to serve them. Together, we are laying a rock-solid foundation that the UAM industry will be building upon for decades.”

In October, Volatus Infrastructure and AIR established a partnership making Volatus one of AIR’s strategic partners for eVTOL infrastructure and charging, which allows AIR’s customers to use Volatus vertiports. AIR will also be overseeing business development for Volatus in Israel to help establish the local eVTOL infrastructure ecosystem.

In September, United Airlines Ventures invested $15 Million with Eve Air Mobility after signing a purchase agreement for up to 400 Eve eVTOL Aircraft, having already secured $10 million with Archer Aviation. The agreement covers a conditional purchase for 200 four-seater Eve eVTOL aircraft plus 200 options, with expected first deliveries during 2026.
