LEO Flight and Eagle Technologies to partner on flying cars
LEO Flight Corporation, which claims to be the world’s first electric jet flying car company, has formed a ‘strategic alliance’ with aerospace manufacturer Eagle Technologies to develop flying cars with no exposed propellers. The LEO Coupe is said to be the world’s premier fully-electric eVTOL flying car designed for personal ownership.
“This partnership will have far-reaching implications for the way people move around in the world,” said Carlos Salaff, co-founder of LEO Flight Corporation.
“Eagle Technologies’ expertise in aerospace engineering, prototyping and manufacturing will play a key role in bringing the LEO Coupe to market.”
Eagle Technologies, LLC, is a full-service aerospace engineering and manufacturing company, providing design, prototyping, testing, and production services for both fixed wing and rotorcraft applications. Since 2001, Eagle has worked to develop eVTOL and conventional aircraft systems, serving OEMs, US government, and small private organizations.
“We are proud to be partnering with LEO Flight Corporation on this exciting project,” said Bruce Bailey, president and CEO of Eagle Technologies. “We are confident that our partnership will have a lasting impact on the future of flight.”
In 2021, Eagle Aviation Technologies joined the Vertical Flight Society as part of 10 new members including Analyswift, Archer, Electric Power Systems, Elroy Air, Helo Holdings, Hydroplane, Le-Vanta Tech, LogistiWerx, Plug Power, Sentient Science, Tier 1 Engineering, UP Partners, Woolpert and Yamato Holdings.
In November 2022, we reported that LEO Flight was awarded a DARPA contract for further development.
