“Pivotal Appoints Marjorie Dickman to Board of Directors”

Piv­otal, a lead­ing com­pa­ny in the light eVTOL air­craft sec­tor, recent­ly announced the appoint­ment of Mar­jorie Dick­man to its Board of Direc­tors, reports a press release. 

The report explains, “A glob­al gov­ern­ment affairs and geopo­lit­i­cal expert, she has led cor­po­rate strate­gies that nav­i­gate com­plex reg­u­la­to­ry land­scapes in the U.S and abroad, cre­at­ing oppor­tu­ni­ties, man­ag­ing risk and grow­ing mar­ket share.”

Ken Karklin, CEO of Piv­otal, enthused, “We are thrilled to wel­come Mar­jorie to Pivotal’s Board of Direc­tors. Her wis­dom of U.S and glob­al gov­ern­ment affairs and her deep busi­ness acu­men in the emerg­ing tech and trans­porta­tion sec­tors are invalu­able to our growth.”

Back­ground

She built her career lead­ing gov­ern­ment engage­ment and com­mu­ni­ca­tion strate­gies for multi­na­tion­al tech­nol­o­gy com­pa­nies with a focus on rapid­ly evolv­ing sec­tors like AI, auto­mat­ed and con­nect­ed vehi­cles, cyber­se­cu­ri­ty, data pri­va­cy, Inter­net of Things (trans­port, ener­gy, man­u­fac­tur­ing), and secure com­mu­ni­ca­tions for defence and first respon­ders. 

Dick­man has earned many acco­lades includ­ing ‘Tech Titan’ Pol­i­cy Influ­encer; Glob­al HERoes Role Mod­el; and Most Pow­er­ful Women in Tech.

As BlackBerry’s first Chief Gov­ern­ment Affairs and Pub­lic Pol­i­cy Offi­cer and direct report to the CEO/Executive Chair­man, she opened the company’s Wash­ing­ton office in 2020. Dick­man has built BlackBerry’s Glob­al Gov­ern­ment Affairs and Pub­lic Pol­i­cy organ­i­sa­tion from the ground up, includ­ing the company’s Gov­ern­ment Rela­tions and Tech­ni­cal Stan­dards teams oper­at­ing in the U.S, Cana­da, EMEA, the UK, LATAM and APJ.

Pri­or to Black­Ber­ry, she led a suc­cess­ful 16-year career at Intel Cor­po­ra­tion, most recent­ly launch­ing and lead­ing glob­al gov­ern­ment affairs for two of Intel’s most dis­rup­tive busi­ness­es,  Auto­mat­ed Dri­ving and the Inter­net of Things, where she man­aged teams across the U.S, EMEA, Chi­na and Japan.
