REGENT Announces Seaglider Order from Synerjet to Transform Coastal Transportation in Latin America
REGENT Craft has announced an order for 10 Seaglider vessels from Brazilian firm Synerjet, expanding the company’s global customer base and underscoring growing demand for its high-speed, all-electric coastal transportation solution.
In a press release released yesterday (Thursday), both companies will now work closely to define initial operating markets and infrastructure plans in the coming months. REGENT expects to deliver the first Seaglider vessels to Synerjet as early as 2029.
Billy Thalheimer, co-founder and CEO of REGENT, said: “Synerjet understands the expectations of customers who value speed, reliability, and an elevated travel experience. Seaglider vessels are purpose-built to meet those expectations, and this order reflects the growing role Seagliders will play in connecting coastal regions more efficiently and sustainably.”
Synerjet has a well-established presence in Latin America and the Caribbean, offering comprehensive mobility solutions with regional operations and continuous customer support, while also representing other strong global market brands.
With over 32,000 km of coastline, global coastal hubs such as Rio de Janeiro and Buenos Aires, and more than two million passengers traveling between Seaglider-accessible routes per year, Latin America is a prime market for enhanced coastal mobility.
Fabio Rebello, CEO, Synerjet, said: “REGENT’s Seaglider represents a compelling new category of mobility. By combining aircraft-like speed with dock-to-dock convenience and zero-emission operations, Seagliders allow us to expand our service offering and unlock new regional routes that were previously impractical or underserved.”
The Viceroy Seaglider vessel offers direct shoreline boarding, smooth hydrofoil transit, and high-speed wing-in-ground-effect flight, pairing aircraft-like performance with a quiet, all-electric ride in a bright, spacious cabin.
A dual-use company based in Rhode Island, U.S., REGENT has secured global commercial orders valued at more than $10 billion from leading airline and ferry operators around the world, as well as $15 million in contracts with the U.S. Marine Corps.
REGENT has raised more than $100 million from investors including 8090 Industries, Founders Fund, Japan Airlines, and Lockheed Martin.
