SkyDrive “Begins Further Demonstration Flights at Osaka Expo 2025”

Japan-based eVTOL devel­op­er, Sky­Drive, recent­ly announced anoth­er suc­cess­ful com­ple­tion of a demon­stra­tion flight of its SD-05 Air­craft at the Osa­ka Expo 2025, reports a press release. The com­pa­ny will con­tin­ue to show­case the eVTOL’s capa­bil­i­ties with a series of flights through to August 24th.

As report­ed before, the air­craft will fly at the EXPO Ver­ti­port every Mon­day, Thurs­day, Fri­day, Sat­ur­day and Sun­day, between August 1st and August 24th. No flights will be sched­uled on Tues­days or Wednes­days.

Sky­Drive Announces Expo 2025 eVTOL Demon­stra­tion Flight Sched­ule

Due to safe­ty, Sky­Drive has tak­en the deci­sion to begin and com­plete the demon­stra­tion flights from the EXPO Ver­ti­port, which is locat­ed in the Mobil­i­ty Expe­ri­ence Area in the north­west cor­ner of the venue.

Tomo­hi­ro Fukuza­wa, CEO of Sky­Drive, com­ment­ed, “We are all thrilled to see the SD-05 fly­ing over Osa­ka Bay. I hope that the spec­ta­tors gath­ered will now find it eas­i­er to imag­ine how eVTOL flights will in future become a reg­u­lar part of our dai­ly rou­tine. We will con­tin­ue to pri­ori­tise flight safe­ty, ensur­ing that vis­i­tors to the Expo over the com­ing weeks can enjoy the expe­ri­ence of see­ing the air­borne air­craft.”
