SkyDrive, JTB Sign Agreement “to Research eVTOL Tourism Services, Revitalise Local Communities”

Japan-based eVTOL com­pa­ny, Sky­Drive, announced this week it has signed an agree­ment  with JTB Corp, a provider of Japan­ese trav­el ser­vices, to revi­talise region­al tourism by imple­ment­ing com­mer­cial and social uses via the deploy­ment of fly­ing taxis, reports a press release. 

The pri­ma­ry focus of this alliance is “to devel­op a viable busi­ness mod­el for eVTOLs, iden­ti­fy regions with high poten­tial for suc­cess, and cre­ate val­ue-added tourism prod­ucts,” explains the release. “Sky­Drive and JTB aim to offer nov­el tourism expe­ri­ences that cater to both domes­tic trav­ellers and inter­na­tion­al vis­i­tors to Japan, such as sight­see­ing and gen­er­al tour fly­ing itin­er­aries.”

The aim is to invig­o­rate local economies and enhance the vibran­cy of com­mu­ni­ties in col­lab­o­ra­tion with enter­pris­es and gov­ern­ments.
