VFS Announces “USD126,000 Awarded to 33 Scholarship Students in 2025”

The Ver­ti­cal Flight Soci­ety (VFS) announced this week that its 2025 Ver­ti­cal Flight Foun­da­tion (VFF) schol­ar­ship, totalling USD126,000, has been award­ed to 33 engi­neer­ing stu­dents inter­est­ed in ver­ti­cal flight, reports a press release.

All the schol­ar­ships include cash awards of between USD3,250 and USD6,000 with the top can­di­dates receiv­ing a spe­cial recog­ni­tion.

VFS Exec­u­tive Direc­tor Ange­lo Collins, com­ment­ed, “Since 1977, our VFF Schol­ar­ships have helped inspire gen­er­a­tions of stu­dents to pur­sue careers in ver­ti­cal flight, with many now hold­ing lead­er­ship posi­tions in indus­try, acad­e­mia and gov­ern­ment. To date over 725 schol­ar­ships have been award­ed.”

He con­tin­ued, “This year, VFS is able to award a record num­ber of schol­ar­ships with an increase of USD6,000 from last year, thanks to gen­er­ous dona­tions.”

The 2025 awardees will be recog­nised on May 20th dur­ing the Open­ing Gen­er­al Ses­sion and Nikol­sky Lec­ture­ship. The event will be one of the high­lights of the VFS 81st Annu­al Forum & Tech­nol­o­gy Dis­play, tak­ing place between May 20th and 22nd at Vir­ginia Beach, Vir­ginia.
