VFS Announces “USD126,000 Awarded to 33 Scholarship Students in 2025”
The Vertical Flight Society (VFS) announced this week that its 2025 Vertical Flight Foundation (VFF) scholarship, totalling USD126,000, has been awarded to 33 engineering students interested in vertical flight, reports a press release.
All the scholarships include cash awards of between USD3,250 and USD6,000 with the top candidates receiving a special recognition.
VFS Executive Director Angelo Collins, commented, “Since 1977, our VFF Scholarships have helped inspire generations of students to pursue careers in vertical flight, with many now holding leadership positions in industry, academia and government. To date over 725 scholarships have been awarded.”
He continued, “This year, VFS is able to award a record number of scholarships with an increase of USD6,000 from last year, thanks to generous donations.”
The 2025 awardees will be recognised on May 20th during the Opening General Session and Nikolsky Lectureship. The event will be one of the highlights of the VFS 81st Annual Forum & Technology Display, taking place between May 20th and 22nd at Virginia Beach, Virginia.
