Watch Video: SkyDrive “to Perform Further eVTOL Demonstration Flights at Osaka Expo2025”
Japan-based SkyDrive, an eVTOL developer, has announced further demonstration flights of its SD-05 aircraft at the on-going Osaka Expo 2025, reports a press release. The first flight of this next demo series is scheduled for July 31st with others planned throughout the summer.
SkyDrive first showed off its eVTOL via an inaugural flight at the Expo, back in April when the event opened for six months (April-October). Since then, the company has continued with further development and trialling within the Yamaguchi City region, accomplishing a series of test flights without incident.

From July 31st until August 24th, the aircraft is to fly from the specially constructed vertiport — OSAKAKO — with one or two flights per day, five days a week (excluding Tuesday and Wednesday). This is located in the Mobility Experience Area in the northwest corner of the Expo venue.
No advance reservations are required to watch. Flight times will be advertised beforehand.

The company asks that all radio-emitting electronic devices, including Bluetooth and Wi-Fi-enabled devices, be switched to flight mode or turned off to ensure that radio waves from these devices do not affect the aircraft.
Then in September SkyDrive plans to carry out further demonstration flights at OSAKAKO.
