Welcome URBI sky: “New Company Embracing Vertiport Infrastructure & Services”
Often an email, masquerading as a press release, is sent to a website from a new company describing its business, yet offering no actual news which then, unfortunately, rarely sees the light of day.
This occurred to eVTOL Insights last week from a Kazakhstan-based Vertiport infrastructure company called URBI sky. Yet, the timing of the email is impeccable given it is late August when the usual famine of news occurs.
On closer inspection URBI sky looks a really interesting company.

Yuliya Zolotykh
Founded by Yuliya Zolotykh, with over 10 years of experience in engineering project management and infrastructure consulting for industrial and commercial clients, her name is of Russian and Slavic origin and a Latin variant of Julia. She is also Founder of ZOLO Engineering and Almaty.
On the website Yuliya says she is “an expert in modular systems and urban infrastructure, with a deep understanding of technical, market and stakeholder needs.”
URBI sky says it is a designer of Infrastructure and Support Facilities for Urban Air Mobility by providing end-to-end services for vertiports.
The company designs three forms: The VertiPort, Stop and Hub. The company’s website is well worth a perusal, offering good quality CGI video and futuristic design plans with playful titles to boot.

It is unclear how the company is being financed while it positions itself in a small and highly specialised industry that is already dominated by companies like Skyports and Skyportz, as well as major global construction builders such as Ferrovial.
Yuliya claims she is partnered with Joby, Archer and NASA. Perhaps, the word partner means in concept only. An Instagram page offers a photo of her standing next to a Joby eVTOL.

We wish URBI sky every good luck with its new endeavour.
